Top Pops! Teen Daze, Auto Body, Another MP3 Downloads & Streams

“Pop music shouldn’t always get a bad rap,” says Top Pops!, a recurring selection of pop music highlights across a selection of styles. Getting dancey on the pop music tip today with Teen Daze, Auto Body, and Another.

Another

Head over to the Bandcamp of solo electronic artist Another to get a free download of his 2012 album, Since June. The Chicago musician sprinkles in some Bear In Heaven vibes via the vocal stylings, though the music itself parallels much nicer to a band like KISSES. A surprising recent accidental find that starts off strong and has some truly terrific moments.

Auto Body

Texas duo Auto Body has one of the most atrocious band names ever — rivaled only perhaps by another tragically vehicle-minded band Mord Fustang (like the Com Truise of Ford Mustangs) — but perhaps to pay penance for their nomenclature sins, they’ve decided to offer their latest record for free. The self-released 5-track EP, Say What You Will, comes out Tuesday, May 15th, and we will be updating this post tomorrow as the entire album stream becomes available. For now, here’s the dance track “Holding Out.”

Teen Daze

I really didn’t think I’d ever be posting a Teen Daze song, as I have been generally left untickled by the efforts of Vancouver musician Jamison Troy. But Teen Daze has been everywhere as of late, remixing and putting forth solo offerings, and today is apparently a new day; his latest track, b-side “What You Feel,” has enough sunny vibes and rad repeating vocal samples for me to jive with.

His upcoming debut full-length, All Of Us, Together, comes out on Lefse Records on June 5th, 2012. Regarding its title, he says, “There are countless reasons on why a person would create something; my reason is bring people together, to let them know that they’re not alone.” Tracklisting below, and full tour dates for Teen Daze at the bottom of this post, including dates with Beat Connection.
