Ben Weiner: Material And Illusion

Enveloping oil paintings and stop-motion videos constitute the bulk of Ben Weiner’s current solo show at Mark Moore Gallery in Los Angeles. Entitled Material And Illusion, the show is only running through July 3rd, 2010, so please catch this minimalistic, abstract breath of fresh air while you still can.

(Note of interest: rather than writing out his materials in layman’s terms, Weiner opts to use chemical names, adding to the whole illusion for the show. An example of materials used in his work: C3H8O2, H2O, NaC18H36O2, C9H10O2, C28H20N2Na2O8S2.)
